Last rites of Kishtwar clashes` victims performed

Amid anti-government protests over the Kishtwar violence, the last rites of the two victims of the communal clashes in the district were performed under tight security on Saturday, police said.

Jammu: Amid anti-government protests over the Kishtwar violence, the last rites of the two victims of the communal clashes in the district were performed under tight security on Saturday, police said.
The body of the 20-year-old Arvind Kumar, who was killed in a gun shot near a petrol pump in Kishtwar, was consigned to flames around 7 PM today at Chowgan in the town, they said.

The last rites of Bashir was also performed in the town today.

Both of them were killed and over 20 others injured in communal clashes in Kishtwar district yesterday. Later, curfew was clamped and Army called in to assist the local administration in maintaining law and order.
