The Jammu and Kashmir police today defused a live grenade hurled by suspected militants at the house of a policeman in Baramulla district of north Kashmir.

Kashmir.

The grenade was found near the house of constable Shabir
Ahmad Peer at village Wusan, 35 kms from here, a police
spokesman said.

He said the state police bomb disposal squad was
immediately summoned and the grenade was neutralised.

The grenade was apparently hurled by suspected ultras
towards the house of the policeman but had failed to explode,
the spokesman said.
