Militant killed as Army foils infiltration bid along LoC

Jammu: The Army on Monday foiled an infiltration bid and killed a militant along the LoC in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

A group of militants tried to infiltrate into Indian territory along the LoC in Balnoie area of Poonch district early this morning, a defence spokesman said.

Troops guarding the LoC challenged them resulting in an encounter in which one militant was killed, he said.
