One militant killed, three holed up in Poonch

Poonch (JK): A militant was killed in an
encounter while three others are still holed up in border area
of Mendhar in the district after their infiltration bid was
foiled by security forces on Wednesday.

A joint team of army and police launched combing
operation in Chajla area of Mendhar soon after receiving
inputs that a group of four militants had sneaked into the
Indian side from across the Line of Control (LoC), official
sources said.
One militant was killed in the encounter while rest are
still trapped in the area, they said.

The encounter was continuing when the last reports came
in, the sources added.
