New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary Ram Madhav on Monday said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir feel that they are an inseparable part of India, adding that the Central Government is planning major steps to develop the state.

"Why have we taken interest in Jammu and Kashmir? Because people of Jammu, people of Ladakh and majority of section in Kashmir Valley feel that they are part of India. Whatever leaders might say, they feel that they are citizens of India. Being equal citizens of the nation they can demand anything they want from the Central government," Madhav said during his address at a function commemorating Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his birth anniversary.

"The government of India is doing all it can to help people of Jammu and Kashmir. The Centre is going to take several big steps to develop all the three regions - Jammu, Ladakh and Kashmir - of the state. But yes, we are not with anti-India forces and separatists there," he added.
