Srinagar: An official of the revenue department has been arrested by sleuths of the State Vigilance Organisation for allegedly accepting bribe here.
Mohammad Altaf Khan, who was a Patwari for Zewan area, was arrested for demanding and accepting the bribe of Rs 5,000 yesterday, an official spokesman said.
A complaint had been lodged by Gulzar Ahmad Bhat of Zewan Bala alleging that Khan was demanding bribe from him to issue revenue extracts.
