Srinagar: A day after the Centre unveiled
an eight-point package to resolve unrest in Kashmir Valley,
J&K Congress chief and former union minister Saif-ud-din Soz
today asked party leaders to reach out to families of injured
in the violence and ensure provision of relief to them.

"The package needs to be welcomed by all segments of
civil society. The Congress leaders should reach out to the
people especially the families whose members have been injured
in the incidents of firing and ensure provision of relief to
them," Soz said, addressing a party meeting here.

He asked the leaders to see whether essential commodities
like medicines are available and if not the same should be
brought to the notice of the administration.

Soz also asked them to assure the people that the party
will facilitate dialogue between the central leadership and
people of Jammu and Kashmir to arrive at a political consensus
amicably.
