Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren on Thursday said that not only the CMP but all the issues beneficial to the state were in the priority list of the government.

Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Thursday said that not only the Common Minimum Programme (CMP) but all the issues beneficial to the state were in the priority list of the government.

During his maiden visit to the steel city after becoming the chief minister, Soren said the government was ready to include in its priority list any issue, besides those in the CMP, in the interest of the state.

Soren told reporters that the coalition partners were unanimous and united to run the state to put it back on the development path.

The chief minister said he would initiate steps to attract investment in the state "but not at gun point".

To a query about government`s approach towards corporate houses, Soren said if they were serious to carry out development, "we will provide all support and if they failed, we will deal with them accordingly."

Asked about the reasons that forced him to pull out of Arjun Munda-led government, Soren said, "We had supported the BJP to form a government to ensure all round development but withdrew only when it remained unfulfilled under his regime."

On the expansion of his cabinet, Soren said it would be done soon.

The chief minister who was accompanied by his father and JMM president Sibu Soren and a host of party leaders said he was in the steel city to pay tribute to the slain JMM leader Nirmal Mahato on his death anniversary today.
