Congress questions delay in Jharkhand Cabinet expansion

Congress leader Banna Gupta on Tuesday alleged that the development work of the state was being hampered due to unnecessary delay in cabinet expansion of the Raghuvar Das-headed BJP-AJSU Party government.

Jamshedpur: Congress leader Banna Gupta on Tuesday alleged that the development work of the state was being hampered due to unnecessary delay in cabinet expansion of the Raghuvar Das-headed BJP-AJSU Party government.

"I do not think everything is well within the ruling coalition," he said, suspecting that this might be one of the reasons for the delay in expansion of cabinet.

"When you have a majority government, what was the reason behind the delay in cabinet expansion," he said.

The same ruling party had made hue and cry when some delay had taken place in cabinet expansion headed by JMM's Hemant Soren coalition government, in which Congress and RJD were coalition partners, Gupta, who lost to BJP's Saryu Rai from Jamshedpur West assembly seat in the last poll, said.

About the recent review meeting held by Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee, Gupta said all the party leaders had been directed to strengthen the organisation in the state.
