Ex Jharkhand minister has assets 579% of income!

In jail since August 2009, Enos Ekka was minister in three governments from 2005 to 2008, led by Arjun Munda, Madhu Koda and Shibu Soren respectively.

Ranchi: Former Jharkhand minister Enos Ekka, in jail for more than 29 months in a corruption case, had amassed assets of 579 percent beyond his known source of income, according to a Central Bureau of Investigation chargesheet filed in court.
"We have filed a charge sheets against Enos Ekka, his wife Menon Ekka and others. We have traced assets of Ekka couple in Ranchi, Simdega, Gurgaon and Jalpaiguri. The ex minister has three tea gardens in Jalpaiguri," a CBI official to a news agency.

The official said that Ekka amassed assets of Rs 18.82 crore, or 579 times over his known sources of income.
