Ranchi: Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha,
who had a warrant against him in connection with a case for
allegedly breaking a police barricade during a demonstration
about two years ago, today surrendered before a local court
and was granted bail.
Sinha surrendered before Chief Judicial Magistrate
S.P.Tiwari and moved a bail petition, which was granted by
the court.
Besides Sinha, former MP Ajay Maroo, BJP state spokesman
Sanjay Seth and party`s ex-president Yedunath Pandey were
booked for allegedly breaking a police barricade in May
12, 2008 during the party`s demonstration against the then
Madhu Koda government on various issues, including corruption.
Maroo and Seth had surrendered and secured bails on
November 7 last year but Pandey is still to surrender.
