Four arrested in connection with rowdy`s murder

Bangalore: Four persons, including the nephew of a rowdysheeter have been arrested in connection with his murder, police said.

Guppa alias Guppendra, was killed near his house in Cottonpet area on August 7, City Police Commissioner Jyothiprakash Mirji said.

The four who were arrested yesterday had revealed during questioning that Guppa had instigated his nephew to kill his rival Baalu in 2007 following which he was arrested.

The nephew` sister had requested Guppa to try and get bail for her brother, but it went in vain. The rowdy reportedly abused her following which her brother hatched a plan and killed him with the help of the gang, he said.
Efforts are on to track some other culprits involved in the murder, he said.
