Bengaluru: 37 people were arrested by Bengaluru police from the Times Bar and Restaurant for allegedly organizing a striptease on Saturday night, as per a media report.

As per Mail Today, the police received a tip-off about the striptease on Field Marshal KM Cariappa Road in the city.

They raided the upscale bar and found several girls performing striptease.

Also, customers threw currency notes at them while they were performing and cash worth Rs 2 lakh were strewn on the floor.

The report said that as many as 77 girls from Nepal and Bihar were rescued from the bar.

The owners of the bar - Gangashetty and his partners, Omprakash Yadav, Vanitha, Shanti Swaroop, Dhanendra and Syed Sameer - are said to be absconding. 

Multiple cases have been filed against them.

The report quoted police as saying that the owners lured girls from economically weaker families by offering them jobs and then forced them into strip tease.
