Karna CM dares Oppn for debate on illegal mining charges

Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today dared Opposition Congress and JDS for a debate during the coming legislature session from June 28 on illegal mining charges being levelled against his ministerial colleagues.

debate during the coming legislature session from June 28 on
illegal mining charges being levelled against three of his
ministerial colleagues.

Addressing the newly-elected gram panchayat members of
Bellary district at a function organised by Tourism Minister
and mining magnet G Janardhana Reddy here, Yeddyurappa hit out
at Opposition for making allegations against three ministers--
Janardhana Reddy, Karunakara Reddy and B Sreeramulu.

"Instead of hurling reckless charges on them (Reddy
brothers), let the Opposition debate it on the floor of the
house," he said.

Yeddyurappa said a function would be organsied in
Bangalore on June 19 to felicitate about 70,000 newly-elected
gram panchayat members.

State BJP president K S Eswarappa claimed no evidence has
been established that the ministers engaged in illegal mining.
