Kozhikode: Kerala unit of BJP today alleged protocol breaches by state officials during Union Minister Prakash Javadekar's visit to the city.

BJP state President V Muraleedharan said the MoS Environment and Forest, on a visit to the state, was assigned a personal security officer when he travelled from Palakkad to Mallapuram yesterday. But none was posted during his journey here from Mallapuram and this was a protocol breach, he said.

However, the issue was later sorted out and the same officer was asked to accompany the minister, who arrived here to attend special meetings as part of the first anniversary of the NDA government at the Centre, he told PTI

Then there was no protocol officer to receive him and no "proper arrangements" were made at the guest house where Javedakar stayed overnight, he charged.

Besides, of the two personal staff who accompanied the minister, only one was given room at the guest house, he said.

Central ministers should have all facilities and protocol observed during their visits, he added.
