Refusing to be drawn into the row over accommodating Kerala Congress leader P J Joseph into the Congress-led UDF, senior Congress leader A K Antony on Saturday said the issue would be decided by the state party leadership.

Kozhikode: Refusing to be drawn into the row over accommodating Kerala Congress leader P J Joseph into the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF), senior Congress leader A K Antony on Saturday said the issue would be decided by the state party leadership.
"The Congress leadership in Kerala is well capable of
deciding the issue and I do not want to comment on it," the
Defence Minister told reporters when they sought his reaction
on the political developments in Kerala after Joseph decided
to quit the LDF ministry as part of merging his party with the
K M Mani-led Kerala Congress faction yesterday.

KPCC chief Ramesh Chennithala and Opposition leader
Oommen Chandy had expressed reservation over accommodating the
Joseph faction into the UDF insisting that the matter should
be deliberated with the constituent member parties.
Terming the merger of Kerala Congress factions as an
internal matter of the party, K M Mani had stated that the
issue need not have to be discussed among the UDF constituent
parties for the moment.

Antony was here to attend a public function.
