Kozhikode: The city today saluted the
representative of the Zamorin dynasty P K S Raja on his 100th
birthday today.
The Zamorin`s were the traditional rulers of Malabar
before the European invasion of the Malabar coast in the 16th
century.
A photo exhibition by renowned photographer P Mustaffa,
on the life of the Zamorin is on at the Zamorin Higher
Seconday School, has been attracting a large number of people.
"Samoothiri Rajavinte Bhakti Samrajyam" authored by
Chemboyil Srinivasan was released by writer U A Khader at a
function on April 4.
Earlier, Raja was taken to the venue at the school in a
procession from his residence at the nearby Chalappuram.
Large number of people from all walks of life assembled at the
venue to greet Raja.
