Bhopal: Ahead of the verdict on Ayodhya
title suit, the Madhya Pradesh Police has arrested 8,000 anti-social elements as part of measures to maintain law and order in the state.
A total of 8,000 anti-social elements have been
arrested so far to maintain law and order situation, Madhya Pradesh Police IG (Law and Order) Ashok Kumar Soni said.
Meanwhile, security arrangements in the state remains
unchanged and further decision will be taken on it after the
tomorrow`s outcome on Ayodhya title suit, he said.
Police and administration in all districts are on
alert to deal with any situation that may arise in view of the
proposed Ayodhya verdict.
"From our side, all preparations are in place and what
will happen next will be decided on the basis of what the
Supreme Court says tomorrow," the IG said.
The Malwa region and some belts around Bhopal,
Jabalpur and Sagar have been identified as sensitive, he said,
adding additional forces were being deployed there.
The state government had asked the Centre for 50 RAF
companies but it had been allotted only four, he added.
The Supreme Court will hear a petition, seeking
postponing of verdict, tomorrow.
