Five killed in road accident on Bhopal-Indore highway

Five members of a family, including a woman, were killed and five others injured when the vehicle carrying them collided with a stationary truck on the Bhopal-Indore highway near Sonkatch town this morning, police said.

the vehicle carrying them collided with a stationary truck on
the Bhopal-Indore highway near Sonkatch town this morning,
police said.

The incident occurred when the victims were returning to
Umaria from Baroda along with the body of a relative, who had
died in a road accident, they said.

While two persons died on the spot, three succumbed to
their injuries en route to a hospital, police said.

The injured were undergoing treatment at Indore.

The body was kept in a separate vehicle which was
trailing the ill-fated vehicle, they said, adding the deceased
were identified as Nirmala (22), Krishnakant (20), Rajkumar
(22), Amul (26) and Bhushan (26).

A case has been registered and further investigations are
on.
