New Delhi: Comments by key players in the aftermath of the Bhopal gas tragedy give an indication about the exit of former Union Carbide CEO Warren Anderson from India with then Chief Minister Arjun Singh quoted as having said there was no intention to prosecute or harass anybody.

TV channel reproduced the bytes of Anderson and Singh, before the UCC chief left the country on December 7, 1984, three days after the world's worst industrial disaster.

"House arrest or no arrest or bail, no bail, I am free to go home...There is a law of the United States...India, bye, bye, Thank you," Anderson had said.

Standing just outside the Union Carbide plant, Singh, wearing a white helmet, had said, "There was no intention to prosecute anyone or try to, sort of, harass anyone.

"Therefore, he (Anderson) was granted bail and he agreed to be present in court when the charges are made," the former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister had said.

so many hullabullao was created by the congress and their cronies about ic 814 when for 200 odd passengers 3 terrorsits were exchanged. it was the life of 200 passengers which were at stake and public opinion was building up and so many dharnas were held outside pm`s house then. what congress did in the aftermath of bhopal tragedy is that 20000 lives were lost but no action taken against anybody then and there. was there us pressure or some money was exchanged . only god knows. the chairman had the audacity to meet the president and home minister suggests some hanky panky. congress is the main culprit in this episode. as of now no body can touch anderson and he is almost 90. us would never allow as for them indian lives are cheap. us has always double standards. in the recent oil leak they are after bp as some us lives are lost and their enviornment damaged. but poor people of bhopal even drink water which is contaminated.

when the nda govt. exchanged the 3 terrorist in exchnage with the life of 200 inocent ic 814 travellers, congress objected later & made it a agenda for election.one can understand here the motive was to save 200 plus lives.

but what was the centre govt & arjun singh motive that he freed anderson without exchnaging anything? or what may be exchanged it hidden from indian citizens ? may be known to swiss bank authorities ?
