MP CM misusing his office: Congress

Madhya Pradesh Congress charged Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan with "misusing his office to help relatives and associates".

Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Congress on Friday
charged Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan with "misusing
his office to help relatives and associates".

Addressing a press conference here, State Congress Media
Department Chairman Manak Agarwal said that various cases
relating to illegal mining and sale of land which have come to
surface indicate that Chouhan was "helping his relatives and
those close to him by misusing his office".
Manak said that the most recent example of this was the
manner in which land from farmers was purchased in Bhopal
district for Rs 6 crore and after changing the land use it was
sold for Rs 45 crore by the chief minister`s relatives and
associates.

He claimed that a firm belonging to Sanjay Massani,
brother of Chouhan`s wife Sadhana, had been registered as an
`A` class contractor in violation of rules.
Manak also demanded an inquiry to find out how Sanjay had
purchased land at Mahabaleswar in Maharashtra to build a five
star hotel.

Meanwhile, state BJP media in-charge Hitesh Vajpayee said
there was no truth in the allegations made by Manak Agrawal.

He said the Congress was worried about the popularity of
the BJP and hence it was making such baseless allegations.
