Bhopal: Leader of Opposition in the Madhya
Pradesh Assembly Ajay Singh on Friday charged the state police
with working under pressure from BJP and RSS leaders.
"It is because of this pressure that policemen who had
been beaten up by RSS workers in the Kamla Nagar police
station had been suspended and there can be no justification
for this," he told reporters in the Assembly premises.
Ajay said the Kamla Nagar station is part of the
constituency represented by the state Home Minister Uma
Shankar Gupta and because of this, the incident assumes more
importance.
On Speaker Ishwar Das Rohani, who had not accepted an
adjournment motion on the issue, he said the Speaker was only
doing what the government had asked him to do.
