MP: Rs 70 lakh illegal assets with govt employee

Lokayukta Police raided the premises of a cashier-cum-accountant with the Women and Child Devt Dept and recovered properties worth Rs 70 lakh.

Indore: Lokayukta Police on Sunday raided the
premises of a cashier-cum-accountant posted with the Women and
Child Development Department in Alirajpur district and
recovered properties worth Rs 70 lakh, disproportionate to his
known sources of income.

Acting on a tip-off, police raided the house of Chote
Khan at Alirajpur, Manawar, Dhar and Indore and recovered
movable and immovable assets worth Rs 70 lakh from his
possession, Lokayukta sources said.

Police seized documents related to six plots, two shops,
two houses, household goods worth Rs nine lakh, Rs 2.5 lakh
cash and jewellery worth Rs 3.5 lakh from his various
premises, they said adding further investigations are on.
