Shivraj Singh Chouhan files nomination from Vidisha

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday filed his nomination papers for the November 25 Assembly Elections from Vidisha constituency.

Vidisha: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday filed his nomination papers for the November 25 Assembly Elections from Vidisha constituency.

The Chief Minister had earlier filed his papers from Budhni seat in Sehore district. Vidisha becomes the second place from where the BJP leader would be seeking a third term as CM.

Chouhan was accompanied by a number of BJP workers, leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj and Jyoti Shah daughter of former Finance Minister Raghavji, who had won from Vidisha in 2008.

Raghavji had to resign earlier this year after he was found to be involved in a sodomy scandal.

November 1 was the first day of filing of nominations for the elections. Today is the last date and withdrawals would be allowed till November 11.
