New Delhi: A 32-year-old woman and a mother of three sliced off her brother-in-law's genitals 'as he raped her' then hands the severed member to police as evidence in Madhya Pradesh.
The officers at a police station in Madhya Pradesh's Sidhi district were shocked to find the woman along with her three children walking up to them clutching the severed organ.
She told the officers that it was the only way to stop her brother-in-law attacking her, the MailOnline reported.
The victim stays with her brother-in-law as her husband works in Nashik, Maharashtra, about 700 miles away. The woman was sexually assaulted many times in the past by her brother-in-law while she stayed in his house.
She told police that she hacked off his privates with a sickle.
After the incident, the accused reportedly committed suicide by hanging from a tree near their house, apparently to avoid further humiliation.
Meanwhile, the woman has been charged with attempted murder.
“This is a rare case and has to be investigated for a proper chargesheet,” the report quoted Sidhi police spokesman Abid Khan as saying.
According to the police, the woman is mentally stable and does not regret her actions.
