Mumbai: In a tragic accident, eleven persons dies and 15 other were injured after a a bus and a minibus collided on NH8 in Palghar district of Maharashtra on Monday.
The collision occurred at around 3:30 am near Talsari village when the minibus collided with a luxury bus on its way to Surat. A five-year-old girl is among the dead.
As per reports, the prima facie evidence suggests that the minibus driver fell asleep at the wheel, leading to the crash.
The injured have been shifted to nearby hospitals.
NH8 is one of the busiest national highways in the country and is the arterial road connecting India's financial capital with Gujarat and onward to Jaipur and Delhi.
