BJP MLA arrested in cheating, threatening case

Ahmednagar: BJP MLA Shivaji Kardile has been arrested for allegedly cheating and threatening an eye surgeon with a revolver, police said on Friday.

Kardile was arrested yesterday after an eye surgeon Dr Prakash Kankriya registered a police complaint against him stating that the MLA had taken Rs 92 lakh from him as part of a deal to sell 23 acres of land at an adjoining village Burhan Nagar.

However, the BJP leader sold to the land to someone else. When Kankriya approached Kardile to get his money back he was threatened with a revolver, the complaint said.

A cheating and threatening case was registered against Kardile, who was remanded in judicial custody till December 12 by a sessions court here.

Meanwhile, senior BJP leader Vinod Tawde alleged that the case against Kardile was a conspiracy by political rivals to defame the party ahead of the elections to eight municipal councils in the district scheduled on December 11.

I agree with you both, I know people who have been cheated bt Kardile.. I have friends in BJP, they say that BJP doesnt support Kardile but as their seats for opposition leader are at borderline they dont want to remove him, as it will decrease one seat for BJP. BUT They dont understand that BJPs name will be ruined beyond repair if they keep him !!!!!!!!!! He should be punished

I am originally from Ahmednagar city and same as all citizens of the city, I know what all crimes this MLA has done!!! No one was ready to come forward with a complaint fearing his life. Kardile has been associated with Murders (recently Lande Murder), extortions, cheating poor farmers with their lands and the list is never ending !!! I am so surprised that BJP did not outcast him !!!!! If this is situatio, BJPs name is only going to be tainted even more due to such leaders.. I am a BJP supporter, I request party leaders to remove this fool from the party! I am sure, all Nagarkars are praying for end of his evil deeds !!! Amen

Dear Mr Ajay, this is an exceptional matter about three criminals-polititians from Ahmednagar. Kardile, Jagtap and Kotkar. All of them are in-laws !!! They have taken system for granted and that the reason they are where they are today . Kotkar is in jail for Murder of a corporate member. Kardile is facing 2 big chapters of his life 1) Threatening and cheating in land 2) Lande Murder too !!! This is only 5% of wht they must have done..So you can imagine, !!!! People from nagar vote for them as there is no good alternative and that they have now become indifferent to injustice.. Wake up Nagarkars !!! Show these Gunda`s there place
