Cong MLC demands early hanging of Rajiv killers

Activists led by a Cong MLC, Charan Singh Sapra, demanded that three convicts on death row in the Rajiv assassination case be hanged immediately.

Mumbai: Activists led by a Congress MLC here
on Tuesday demanded that the three convicts on death row in the
Rajiv Gandhi assassination case be hanged immediately.

The activists led by MLC Charan Singh Sapra held a
demonstration in suburban Mulund, condemning Tamil Nadu
Assembly`s resolution to reconsider the killers` mercy
petitions.

Sapra, vice president of Mumbai Congress unit, demanded
early execution of the death sentence of the trio.

"If death sentence is delayed or commuted, a wrong
message will be conveyed that blatant terror acts can go
unpunished," he said.
