Court rejects bail of seven naxalites

The sessions court on Thursday rejected the bail of seven alleged Naxalites including five women accused of naxal activities.

Mumbai: The sessions court on Thursday rejected the bail of seven alleged Naxalites including five women accused of naxal activities.

"The bail of all the seven accused have been rejected," special public prosecutor Rohini Salian said.

Angilena Sontakke, Sushma Ramtake, Nandini Bhagat, Jyothi Chorge, Anuradha Somle, Siddarth Bhosle and Dhawla Dhangle had all filed a bail saying that there is no case in connection with them and evidence is fabricated.
However, Salian told the court that a compact disc recovered from them is a clinching evidence against them.

"The CD contained footage where 15 CRPF men were killed and the naxal group was celebrating it," Salian said.

Salian further said that according to the CD, 15 CRPF men were killed and their bodies were placed in a row and there was sloganeering, celebrations and a naxal flag was hoisted there too.

Sontakke was heading Golden Corridor Committee (GCC) and is married to Milind Teltumbde, who is the head of a wing of Communist Party of India (Maoist), and an absconding accused.
