MIDC official in ACB net for accepting Rs 5,000 bribe

Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught an area manager of MIDC here accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 in lieu of signing a tri-party agreement for a bank loan.

Nashik: Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught an area manager of MIDC here accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 in lieu of signing a tri-party agreement for a bank loan.

 According to a press release by the ACB, manager Dinkar Sapakale was apprehended red-handed last evening receiving the sum from the complainant, an entrepreneur by profession who had applied for a loan of Rs one crore.

 The victim had purchased a small scale industry at Ambad MIDC and prepared a tri-party agreement to hand over documents to the bank for loan. Hence, the documents were sent to MIDC Satpur for signature of the area manager, who demanded the bribe.

 The complainant informed ACB Nashik, which laid a trap and caught the official, the release added.
