MPCC chief Manikrao Thakre to meet Vidarbha's Congress leaders

Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) chief Manikrao Thakre plans to hold a series of meetings with party office bearers, elected representatives as well as prominent activists in the Vidarbha region between January 15 and January 17, it was officially announced here today.

Nagpur: Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) chief Manikrao Thakre plans to hold a series of meetings with party office bearers, elected representatives as well as prominent activists in the Vidarbha region between January 15 and January 17, it was officially announced here today.

Thakre would tour the Vidarbha region during the period to strengthen party's base and boost the morale of grassroot level Congress workers, according to an MPCC release.

He would also address a couple of election meetings in the region durng his visit, the release said.

On January 15, he is scheduled to visit Chandrapur, from where he would proceed to Yavatmal on January 16. He would be in Bhandara and Gondia districts on January 17, the release said.
Ramkishan Ojha is his tour co-ordinator, the release said.
