Murder case: Cop complains of chest pain

Mumbai police officer Pradeep Sharma, who was remanded to judicial custody till January 27 in a case of alleged fake encounter, today suffered chest pain and taken to hospital for check-up.

"Sharma complained of chest pain and was taken to the
J J Hospital. He is being examined by doctors," investigating
officer Deputy Commissioner of Police M M Prasanna said.

Sharma, an encounter specialist, complained of chest
pain after the Andheri metropolitan magistrate remanded him
and five others in judicial custody till January 27.

Sharma, a 1984 batch IPS officer, and five others were
arrested on January 7 in connection with an alleged fake
encounter of Ramnarayan Gupta alias Lakhan Bhaiyya.
