Naxals trigger land-mine blast in Gadchiroli

Nagpur: Suspected Naxals today set off a
low-intensity land-mine blast in Gadchiroli district in which
a police jeep was damaged and the driver sustained minor
injuries.

The incident occurred in Yerkad in Dhanora taluka, police
said.

Prashant Muktavaram, the jeep driver, sustained some
cuts and the windscreen of the jeep was shattered.

The police were searching the area after yesterday`s
exchange of fire between the Naxals and the police in the
area.
