Nashik: Rains took a break on Thursday after
two days of heavy downpour in this North Maharashtra district,
official sources said.
The district has recorded 428 mm rainfall in the last
couple of days.
Rain-related incidents since June 1 have claimed 10
lives. Nine of them were killed in lighting at different
places, while a labourer died in a boundary wall collapse,
they added.
Many trees and electric poles were uprooted and
several houses damaged in the downpour.
Meanwhile, farmers have started sowing operation in
view of the good rainfall.
