Mumbai: In a shocking case of sleaze, a 74 year old man has been arrested from Mumbai’s Mulund area for molesting minor girls and making pornographic CDs.
A freelance photographer by profession, the accused Narsi Katira has been accused of molestation and attempted rape of over two dozen girls. Police also recovered several pornographic CDs in his house, and in fact, one CD involved his wife, who died five years ago.
After his arrest, Narsi was produced before a local court that sent him to police custody till November 24.
An investigation into the case has revealed that Katira used to lure minor girls with chocolates or giving them money and then sexually assaulted them.
Reports also suggested that Katira had installed several cameras in his house and used to record all such incidents. He used to sell those CDs on his foreign trips.
According to police, Katira has been arrested under Section 376 (punishment for rape) and 292 A (sale, etc., of obscene books, etc.)
Police got the information about Katira from one of his minor victims. She complained to police that Katira made her blue film without her knowledge and was blackmailing her for a long time.
Katira, too, has accepted his intimate relations with the complainant.
