Three cops arrested for beating up hotelier

Thane: The city police arrested four people including three policemen for allegedly abusing and roughing up an hotelier.

The four had gone to a bar for dinner and drinks. After they were asked to pay their bills they allegedly beat the owner back and blue, abusing the hotelier, Rabodi police station`s police inspector DK Gughe said.

The names of those held are Constable AA Kadam, Inspector S S Sapkal, police driver SS Lande and one DP Payre.
They have been booked under Sections 341, 447, 323, 504 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code, based on a complaint by hotelier Sunil Shetty, the police said.
