Mumbai: With volcanic ash clouds disrupting
air services to the US and Europe, several passengers whose
flights to some locations in Europe have been cancelled are
upset though it has not caused any ruckus so far at the
international airport here.

Over 20 worried passengers were stranded at the
Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport today, not knowing
when they would be able to board a flight to their
destinations in Europe and the US.
Most of these passengers, scheduled to fly Jet Airways
are demanding priority booking which they say the airline has
not offered as yet.

"Jet cancelled today`s London flight (9W 120 Mumbai to
London) without informing its passengers. We are stuck at
the airport since last night. Morever, it did not arrange any
food for us," Ishwar Mistry, Finance Director of a London-
based company, told agency.

Passengers are also annoyed as a call centre number
provided by Jet Airways is not working.

"The call centre number given by Jet is not working,"
Narottam Bhai, another Jet Airways passenger to London, said.

Meanwhile, a Jet Airways official said flight disruption
is expected to continue for the next 3-4 days.

India`s national air-carrier, Air India has suspended
all West-bound flights to Europe, the US and Canada, tomorrow.
It is, however, understood that Air India has given
the affected passengers the option of taking flights at a
later date without any penalty or full refund on cancellation.

Kingfisher Airlines has cancelled all flights to and
from London`s Heathrow airport for today, its spokesperson
said.
