Rail traffic on the Western Railway in Maharashtra has been affected after 11 wagons of a goods train derailed at Dahanu in the wee hours on Monday morning. No casualties have been reported in the incident.

Mumbai: Rail traffic on the Western Railway in Maharashtra has been affected after 11 wagons of a goods train derailed at Dahanu in the wee hours on Monday morning. No casualties have been reported in the incident.

It is reported that all down services of the Western Railways long distance trains has been cancelled.

The restoration work is currently underway. The railway administration is trying to seek extra buses though district administration of Valsad, Navsari and Palghar for passengers.

The trains that have been cancelled are 12009 Mumbai Central- Ahmedabad Shatabdi Express, 19011 Mumbai Ahmedabad Express, 19215 Saurashtra Express and 09021 Bandra Jammu Tawi Express.

Besides these, 16587 Yesvantpur Bikaner Express has been diverted and 12932 Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central AC Double Decker Express and 19032 Ahmedabad Haridwar Express are currently running late.
