Army Chief meets officers of Central Command

Lucknow: The Chief of Army Staff, General V K
Singh, on Saturday discussed with senior officers of the Central
Command various operational and administrative issues.

Gen Singh, on a day`s visit to the headquarters of the
Central Command, met Gen V K Ahluwalia, General Officer
Commanding-in Chief (GOC-in C), Central Command, and other
army senior officers.

He discussed with them various operational and
administrative issues, a PIB release said.

The Army Chief underlined the need to ensure that the
force is well trained and prepared to meet any external or
internal challenges.

He also emphasised the need to ensure that non-military
challenges and aid to civil authority are addressed, the
release said.
