Hyderabad: BJP Andhra Pradesh unit on Sunday
dared members of justice Srikrishna Committee to visit villages in Telangana districts of Andhra Pradesh.

A five member committee was constituted by the UPA
government to examine demand for a separate state of Telangana
and as well as the demand of unified Andhra Pradesh.

The committee scheduled to visit in the first week to
hold consultations with various parties and organisations on
the issue.

Speaking to reporters here, the state party chief and former Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya said the people of Telangana regions have been demanding for a separate state for the region and they support the BJP, which is the only party openly supporting the people`s wish.

Just visiting Hyderabad and having consultations will
not serve any purpose and let members of the Srikrishna panel
visit the village, he said.

Stating that there was a need of a political solutions
for the burning issue, Dattatreya said Telangana could not be
achieved by the Srikrishna committee.

Referring to price rise of essential commodities, the
BJP leader said the party would launch a signature campaign
against the Centre and state governments, which failed to curb
the rising of food grains prices.

Dattatreya said BJP would chalk out an agitational
programme from March 2 in protest against the price rise.

The state office bearers meeting would be held here
tomorrow to chalk out a future course of action. It would be
followed by state council meeting on March six in which senior
leaders including party`s national spokesperson Prakash
Javadekar would attend, he said.
