New Delhi: A day after Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Yogi Adityanath triggered a massive furore after he was caught on camera asking his supporters to marry the girls of another community, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP refused to comment on the issue on Wednesday.
“I don't want to make any clarification on the issue. It is the responsibility of media to examine a video before showing it,” he said.

The controversy began after the Gorakhpur MP was caught on camera in an undated video addressing his supporters and saying that if members of a community convert a girl of another community, then at least 100 girls of their community will be converted.
This is not the first time when Adityanath had stirred controversy. While addressing a Parliament on the issue of Communal Violence Bill, he accused the opposition Congress of working at the behest of Pakistan.
Adityanath is currently facing charges of inciting communal tension in Gorakhpur in 2007.
