New Delhi: To protest the brutal killing of two Indian soldiers by Pakistani troops in Jammu and Kashmir, the BJP would organise nationwide protests Friday and demand "tough" decisions against the neighbouring country.

"We`ll organise nationwide protests tomorrow (Friday) starting at the district-level. People are very angry over this matter," Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Nirmala Sitaraman said here Thursday.

"Pakistan should get the message that Indian citizens are absolutely angered at the way in which they (Pakistan) have dealt with our soldiers in such a manner," she said.

Holding the Pakistan government and army responsible for violating the ceasefire in force since November 2003, she said India should not drop its guard in order to develop good relations with Pakistan.

"The BJP has been warning the government periodically that infiltration has not ceased and has increased... It`s a very worrying situation," she said.

"We should give proof, name and shame Pakistan for having done this... We can`t afford to have our goodwill misused," she said.

Sitaraman said that as a neighbour, India would have to keep peace with Pakistan but would also have to deal with "far greater firmness" to curb infiltration.

BJP leader Sushma Swaraj too demanded "tough" actions against Pakistan and said her party would "support" the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance government if it did so.

"The government must go in for tough measures and we will support the government in such decisions. Unfortunately, we have a very weak government in the country. And weak governments are incapable of taking tough decisions," she wrote on Twitter.

"It is a matter of honour for the country. It is a question of the morale of our armed forces. The government has to act. And the government has to act tough," she added.
