New Delhi: Botswana Vice President Mompfati Merafhe arrived in India late Tuesday for a four-day visit, during which he will meet Indian leaders, businesspersons as well as members of the Bollywood fraternity.

The visit is a reciprocal one after the Indian Vice President Hamid Ansari visited Botswana as part of a three-nation southern Africa trip in January.

Merafhe arrived with a large delegation of ministers and officials. He will be meeting Ansari for a private dinner Wednesday night, followed by an official banquet at Hyderabad House Thursday.

The African leader will be meeting with Indian President Pratibha Patil and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Thursday.

Agreements on science and technology and small and medium enterprises are expected to be inked during the visit.

He will also be meeting with Indian business leaders during an interaction with joint chambers of commerce.

In Mumbai, he will interact with the Bollywood fraternity.

Ansari, during his visit to Botswana, had stayed at the Chobe national park for a night. He was so enamoured that he had told his host, Merafhe, that he would try to lure Bollywood to Botswana.
