Bangalore: Former President A P J Abdul Kalam
on Saturday said Chandrayaan-1 moon mission was a "great success".
"For a first launch, it`s a great success," he told
reporters on the sidelines of a function here.
He said Chandrayaan-I successfully orbited the earth and
then the moon and ten instruments on board had sent data for
ten months.
Kalam pointed out that ISRO had succeeded in detaching the
moon impact probe and then crashing it on the moon`s surface.
These factors indicated that the mission has been completed,
he opined.
