Congress wants to crush people`s voice: Gadkari

BJP President Nitin Gadkari said the Congress was conspiring to impose emergency in the country like it did 36 years ago and wanted to crush the people`s voice against issues like black-money and corruption.

Jamshedpur: BJP President Nitin Gadkari on Thursday said the Congress was conspiring to impose emergency in
the country like it did 36 years ago and wanted to crush the
people`s voice against issues like black-money and corruption.
Despite preaching non-violence, the Congress was
indulging in violence as manifested in the mid-night police
raid at Ramlila Maidan, the venue of yoga guru Ramdev`s fast
on June 4, Gadkari told a public meeting at Agrico Maidan here
while campaigning for his party`s candidate, state unit
President Dineshanand Goswami for July 1 Jamshedpur Lok Sabha
by-poll.
Alleging the Congress was plotting to clamp an
Emergency-like situation in the country as in 1975, Gadkari
vowed that BJP workers will sacrifice their lives but would
not allow any repeat of the June 4 midnight situation.

Gadkari said the saffron party had nothing to do with
Ramdev-Hazare`s stir but will support anyone spearheading
movement against corruption.
