New Delhi: Condemning the "heinous terrorist attack" here, French President Nicolas Sarkozy on Wednesday wrote to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh conveying his country's complete solidarity with India and expressing determination to relentlessly fight the "barbaric" scourge together.

"At a time when New Delhi has once again been struck by a heinous terrorist attack claiming tens of innocent victims, I would like to express my complete solidarity and heartfelt condolences on behalf of France and myself," Sarkozy wrote to Singh.

"France is at India's side during this distressing ordeal and I am more determined than ever to fight this barbaric scourge together," he said, adding, the fight against terrorism "unites us and we shall always pursue our efforts relentlessly."

He expressed condolences to the victims' families and near and dear ones.
