New Delhi: Construction company Gammon
India, which is a contractor for Delhi Metro project, has set
up an in-house empowered committee to investigate the accident
at the Delhi Metro site on July 13 that killed six persons and
injured 15 others.
"The committee will prepare a detailed report...which
encompass study of design, safety and quality of the pillar,
among others. It will share the report with Gammon India soon,
which will then submit it to the concerned authorities," the
company said in a statement.
The committee will include Gammon India`s President

The Delhi Metro had attributed the accident to a "problem
in the design" of the pillar.
The accident had taken place when an under-construction
