According to a MeT report, Aligarh received 3-cm rainfall, followed by Kanpur and Gomatia 2-cm each and Dalmau 1-cm.

Day temperatures fell largely in Allahabad division; fell appreciably in Varanasi, Kanpur, Lucknow, Jhansi and Agra divisions; fell in Faizabad and Meerut divisions; and changed a little in the remaining divisions of the state.

It was appreciably above normal in Faizabad, Allahabad, Kanpur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Jhansi and Meerut divisions; above normal in Gorakhpur division; and normal in the remaining divisions of the state.

The state`s highest maximum temperature was 46.5 degrees Celsius recorded at Orai.

According to a MeT forecast, thundershowers accompanied with squall would occur at isolated places over the state in the next 24 hours.
