Mumbai: A day after the FBI indicted US national David Coleman Headley alias Daood Gilani in the Mumbai terror attacks conspiracy, the NIA and Mumbai Police are preparing to file a supplementary chargesheet to seek his extradition, sources said.

The National Investigating Agency (NIA) and Mumbai Police are in the process of preparing the document which is due to be filed in Mumbai court next month.
However, extraditing Headley to India would be tough despite a treaty between both the countries due to the charges under which he has been booked.

Headley has been charged under 12-point criminal conspiracy in the US.

The investigating authorities have also informed the Home Ministry about Headley and Rana’s links to the Mumbai terror attacks.
In a further investigation it has also been revealed that Headley was planning attacks on other Indian cities, including Hindu pilgrim cities of Pushkar and Lucknow.
