New Delhi: Months after threatening BJP veteran LK Advani, militant organisation Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) has now warned that it will eliminate Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi if he becomes Prime Minister.

According to reports, JeM`s Pakistan-based founder Maulana Masood Azhar has issued this warning in the outfit`s online weekly magazine al-Qalam.

Besides JeM founder Massod Azhar, Jamaat-ud-Dawah (JuD) chief Md Hafiz Saeed has also issued similar threats to Modi, who is BJP`s PM nominee for 2014 polls.

In the same article published in al-Qalam, the JuD chief says, "Muslims can never forget that BJP made Modi its PM candidate despite the accusations against the Gujarat Chief Minister for complicity in communal riots in Ahemdabad.

Security agencies, which are already aware of growing threats to Modi, claim that the BJP leader is in the hit list of Islamic terrorist organisations in Thailand and Pakistan.
In view of the growing threat to Modi, his security has been upgraded and the BJP leader is being accorded a tight security cover wherever he goes.

After the October 27 serial blasts in Patna, which targeted Narendra Modi, adequate security arrangements are being made for his scheduled political rallies in several cities in Uttar Pradesh.

Modi is expected to address a rally in Varanasi tomorrow and others in Barelli, Meerut, Gorakhpur and Lucknow in the days to come.
Modi has already been given Z+ security cover and the Union Government has instructed the security agencies to take any threat to the BJP leader very seriously.

JeM chief Azhar is a Pakistani national and features in India`s list of most wanted terrorists.
